I think the general consensus is that everyone is annoyed at the “inflated” prices and while I myself am also annoyed, it’s hard to blame people for trying to “capitalize” on the situation.
If we’re all for “capitalism”, should we really be complaining for people trying to sell for more than their purchase price? I’m guilty of complaining and scoffing at peoples attempt to sell for way over what I personally think something should be valued at but what is something really worth? I think the old adage of “something is worth what someone will pay for it” comes into play.

I’ve been a member for several years and while my post count is low, I frequently read through posts here and there and do indeed look through classifieds to see what might perk my interest. I’d rather see a lot of posts in the classifieds with some being inflated rather than just a couple that get snatched up very quickly and then watch the classified stay dried up.

I’ve been stood up by “established” members and have had some good dealings with newer individuals. In my opinion, more activity is good for the site.

My 2 cents.....

I get the whole “It cost more to replace your gear and ammo”. However, my point is that there are people who are standing outside of Academy at 6 am to buy 5.56 or 9mm, then turning right around and posting it on OSA for a huge profit.

And anyone is free to get up early, go to Academy and buy all the 5.56 and 9mm available.

Not really sure why more people don't. Maybe it's easier to cry and complain than it is to get up early? Just a guess.

You might get more traction if you approach it this way:

1) For non-supporting members, you must have 'X' minimum post count (quality posts) before you're allowed to post in classifieds.
2) For supporting members, no minimum post count required.

The board owner may like the idea of incentivizing people becoming a supporting member ($).
Of course, 'X' is negotiable.

I've considered supporting the board, but I will not do so as long as the current classified policy is in place.

Did you read my statement? Or are you just being a troll? My point was they wait, buy it, and try to sell for a profit. I haven’t shed a tear. It’s the people who are reading this thread getting their anal glands tickled that seem to want to accuse others of crying. Threads are kinda the classifieds. If you don’t like what you’re seeing/reading, go have a nice day.

Isn't that a little like the people that don't vote and then gripe about the politicians?

So I have to pay to have an opinion? This isn’t an issue of national or state level importance. It’s a PUBLIC forum. Public forums by nature of being public don’t require a paid membership. Otherwise it would require payment prior to people being allowed to join.
