I recommend you get your family doc to refer you to a Dermatologist.

I use Dr Blaine Lehr in OKC, am very pleased with him and his staff, never an issue with them. Earliest appointment is at 7:00 AM and I never have to wait in the lounge more than 5 or 10 minutes. In, out, gone.

A good MD General PR actioner or Family Doc is well trained but not as well in skin issues as a Dermatologist.

In the meantime try a tube of Hydrocortisone Cream, over the counter everywhere.

Best wishes to you.

I have eczema also periodically and TMC cream as posted above does work. I don't instructions as told I put the stuff on anytime I think about it and the eczema is gone. You aren't supposed to put it on your face though, it changes color of the skin.

I've got a spot of it in the fold of my leg behind my knee. Eczema or psoriasis. I don't know which. My doc called it eczema years ago when it was all over my lower leg and it eventually went away. Now it's back but only in that one spot now, so I thought it was a fungal infection since I have perpetual case of athlete's foot and use Tinactin pretty much all the time, plus I'm at a computer when I work with it bent just right to not get a lot of air for long periods of time, hence my suspicion of a fungal infection. Tinactin clears it right up on my feet until I get lazy. Behind the knee I tried every anti-fungal cream and powder known to mankind for about 6 months and nothing even made a dent. May have even made it worse actually. I finally got an $0.89 cent tube of hydrocortisone cream from Walmart and it knocks it down very well but it won't go completely away, but at least it doesn't bug me much at all.

try washing the area with head and shoulder original shampoo. use warm not hot water and let it set on the area for a few min before you rinse. continue this until it gets better.

get some lugholes solution "iodine" and cut it with about 1/3 rubbing alcohol. apply to the fungus after bath and during the day if needed. gets athlete's foot also.

I have a dermatologist and I seen him last spring but didnt have this going on then. I am seeing him again soon for another issue but wanted to find out if there was an over the counter cure.
