I keep the battery powered remote for the shop heater in the house so it doesn't get cold. Cold remote won't work when it is cold.

But here is a small thought for the guys loading in a cold large garage/shop.
You could put up some temporary walls and ceiling and warm the area with a small electric heater or a heat lamp.
