I thought it was to protect the patient from the surgeon and staff’s spittle that can contain bacteria and viruses.
Do you not understand a hospital environment is significantly different than the general public or nah? What other precautions are taken in said environment? Are they trained professionals that keep them on during the entire surgery with gloves?
