Wait for the hail storm. Drive to the worst hit area and park it.:bolt:
. When the weatherman says torrential rain and the flooding risk is high, I wonder why people don't go and park their cars at the lowest area of underpasses that are known to flood. "Sorry, it stalled out and I don't know why."

There's a reasonable place on Douglas across from the main gate at Tinker. Don't recall the name, but they've done me right several times.

Safelite replaced one in my work truck back during the October winter storm. I asked if they would reschedule because of the bad weather. They assured that the cold and moisture wouldn't matter as long as I had a place that they could do the work inside. I explained that the inside would still be cold, but it would be dry and out of the wind. They did the work and it sounded like the passenger window was open an inch when driving over 45 mph. The windshield wipers were reinstalled out of correct position. I called it in and complained and they rescheduled to come check it out. The caveat being that it would cost me $xxx if all was well or no charge if they determined it was okay. A different tech showed up for the follow up and he admitted that it was a terrible job and that the windshield wasn't glued for a pretty good portion of passenger side.

I've had to replace mine 3 times in the last 3 years because people with trailers full of rocks on the highway. I've used Tiki glass on Air Depot but I'm not sure if they're still around. It was around 350 to replace each time.

If you think that's bad price one out for a Subaru with the Eyesight system. :yikes2: :grumble:
$1500 is what I hear from the dealer. Subaru has known defective windshields. There's a class action lawsuit against them for it. Unfortunately we found out the hard way just 3 months into a brand new Outback. It looks just like a rock hit it even though my wife swears she heard nothing then came out one morning to a crack 2 feet long. My insurance agent says they have a customer who just replaced his third one in a year. The lawsuit says you have to get it replaced by the dealer to have any hope of recovery of funds.

I used Safelite about 3 months ago for the windshield on my jeep. $320 bucks. I like that they came out to the house and got it done in hour and half.
