Do like the Air Force does, they build a golf course before anything else. But folks around here build a huge shop building first vs the golf course.

Both the wife and I have moved plenty. We have lived in Broken Arrow now for almost 16 years, and in our house for almost 11. That's the longest either of us have been in one city or the same house in our lifetimes. Its funny, because for the last 2 years I've kinda got the itch to move again. I will say one thing though, after living in this house this long, the amount of junk that has accumulated has been astonishing.

Here, but occasionally There.
Lost track of the moves...

...but now, our moving for the most part involves backing up the F450 to the fifth wheel and heading out. Instead of moving "out," we just put stuff away and get going.

We rented a lot, both homes and apartments, and we owned 3 different homes in roughly 15 or 16 years before moving into the RV. We've lived it in now for just under 10 years, which is longer than we have lived in any other house or apartment.

I paid movers to do all the heavy items and furniture. Had this one built so we had 6 months to prepare. Still a ton of last minute junk though. In fact, at closing the couple buying our house asked us if we want the stuff in a closet. We FORGOT a whole closet in a spare room!

Haaaa! It is the little items that add up fast to a truck load. In one of the Homes we remodeled we found over $12k in Bicentennial coins. We called the previous owner and asked if they had forgot a big box of coins under the stairwell leading upstairs! They were older and forgot buying up the Bicentennial Coins. He came got them and said that his wife back in 76 thought the coins were going to be rare and kept buying them every payday for years and they had just forgot about them.
