Buddy and I both got the Arrowhead's and love em. First LPVO's for both us but have been fun to use and mess with.

You've probably picked something out by now, but these Vortex Viper PST Gen II 1-6 scopes are worth a look. With a $500 budget, you can likely find one used WITH a mount. They're $600 new at most retailers.

I checked out the Nightforce NX8, Vortex PST, Bushnell Elite Tactical, and Vortex Razor G II-E. I went with the Vortex Razor because it checked all the boxes for its intended use plus with the vet discount seemed like the better buy. The NF eyebox wasn't as forgiving and the PST/Bushnell glass wasn't as good in my opinion.

I'm sure it is worth it, it took me $750 when buying the PST 1-6 and a decent mount. At that price, you're really close to the Razor, especially on the used market.
