Have a friend looking for some 30-30.

It is like the one ammunition that I don't have any of.

Curious, when available, what is this going for now?
How about trades of ammo for ammo? What would a good trade range be. Say for .223 or 9mm?

Thanks

$20- $50 for a box of 20 depending on brand.
I would think 2 or 3 of the .223 for 1 of the 30-30 but again depending on brand.
9mm is about 25 a box of 50 at the cheapest.

Usually depends on what someone has and what they want.
Now 30-30 shoots cast gas checked bullets very good and those will keep yu happy for a long time on the cheap.
If you reload that is.
And expect about 1900-2000 fps from a 170 gr cast lead bullet and be pretty accurate in a 30-30.

I have shot a lot of cast in mine.

Follow the ammo finder websites and gun joker... they're pretty accurate with current prices... I have enough 22LR to retire hahaha

I ordered some 243 last week at $50 a box, it was the lowest price I could find for the federal fusion. So I would say around that price in the current market. It sucks. I have not shot my 30-30 in over a year due to ammo. I have a few boxes, buts all reserved for hunting as needed.

As for trade value, I have no idea, I think that would be a case by case thing.

And elsewhere. I never in my life thought I would see the day when 30-30 would not be available anywhere, its mind boggling to say the least.
I've been thinking the same for awhile. I've been looking for 130gr. flatnose bullets to reload, which I will probably be asking advise on
from members here since I'm new to reloading.

I have never reloaded the 30-30 but I've heard it said that the Sierra 125 grain FN HP is a better performing bullet.
Unfortunately I bet those are unicorns to find right now also.

I have 60 rounds of factory Winchester 150gr Soft Point Hi-Shock that I would trade for factory 38 special.
I am thinking 2 38 for every 1 30-30? Does that seem fair?
