Better watch it again, first officer used BOTH HANDS. Was even praised for using both hands. Second officer used one hand and was criticized for it.

While I respect JC, and watch a lot of his video's, I disagree with his assessment of the second officer. LEDT pistol instructors have to take a strong and weak hand shot out past 35 yards to even qualify to go through instructor school. Both of these officers are highly trained and experience. One only has 5 years on, but his dad is a retired deputy chief who is now with the US Marshals service, so he's grown up in an LEO environment. As a parent, I always trained to both drop anything in my hand, but also trained a lot strong hand because we cant always shoot two handed. Am I supposed to drop a baby or toddler to get two hands on my pistol? What if I dont have the kid with me but am creating space with my off hand? What if I am pushing my kid back from danger with my off hand?

If the event is as you say it was, then I can agree with your assessment. I would imagine there could be several scenarios were a one hand shot could be the only choice. I think the reference to making bad one hand shots is when those shots are made by civilians with far less, very little or no training.

One of the officers who fired at the jail is also one of the officers in this incident....Police: Suspect Dead After Standoff, Officer-Involved Shooting At OKC Sonic (news9.com)

Without knowing all the facts, how does the Sonic shooting relate to the jail shooting - other than lives being threatened/officer involved in both(the victim at the jail had already been stabbed three times and the woman shot by Barber). Since you brought it up, was the Sonic shooting determined to be a good-shoot or a bad-shoot?
