At least you noticed it, I would have ruined the tire.
Hate to see that in a tire. I've lost some $900 rear tires on the tractor to antlers.
I don't typically go looking until April since some seem to still be carrying in the photo's in this link.

I found these today on the northern third of my place. It’s too muddy on the south third, and the river is too high to get to the middle third.
I've ridden the ATV 13 miles over the last two days. Never saw a single shed. To be fair, my places are not where deer live. They are where deer visit other than a few resident does. Busted deer, coyotes, coons, and who knows what else I didn't see, but no sheds.
Not bad at all for 33%!
Only one I’ve found but it’s pretty good.
The regrowth has begun!
