Again, I didn’t watch the trial. I haven’t read all the testimony, but I’ve seen snippets and I’ll freely admit I don’t know if the dude is guilty or not, but there is zero chance he got a fair trial. None.
Supremes won't even take up cases because they're afraid of backlash - you think an appellate court is gonna have bigger balls?

So they have something called a Blakely hearing in about a week where the prosecution argues that judge should be allowed to go all the way to max 40 years, instead of using sentencing guidelines (no criminal past etc, which would lower what he would likely get). So, I'm guessing that will be another potential source for big screens if they don't allow up to the 40 years.

I’m not sure why they bothered with a trial. No one has any courage to stand up to the lawless thugs and it’s cheaper to convict 1 guy instead of burning down the city. Every cop should walk off the job immediately.
