Not sure if this will help. But repubs gain a few seats.

I’d definitely NOT assume that those will be repukelican seats. Texas is mostly flipped and flipped fast. Certain areas of that state have been extremely liberal for a while and they are far and fast outpacing the old, rural conservatives.

Hell, in 2010 my dad who lives in Williamson County, was talking about how no demonrat could be elected to any city/county office. By 2016, that tide had changed and they had an electrical contract for 100% green renewable energy. The typical electrical bill tripled. As well as other goofy odd services, rules and restrictions that were emplaced. The repubes have reclaimed the city council, but the power companies want tens of millions of $ to let them out of the green contract. Too little, too late for a few more years for them.
Oh yeah, the county went for ”Beto” in 2018 and Xiden in 2020. So, they are still losing ground to the zombie dumbasses.

We saw the writing on the wall 13-14 years ago and were able to leave and start 2010 in Oklahoma.

Exactly what I was thinking. I just hope that they are smart enough to change their ways. Hardly!

This isn’t necessarily good news. Texas barely missed going blue this time, because it seems the folks moving here from Mexico and California are bringing their liberal socialist politics with them.

That's the thing, we see the exodus of people from CA etc, fleeing high taxes, high COL, onerous regulations and we think they've connected it with their voting habits, but a lot of them haven't. They show up in a place like TX to escape all that, and then try to vote in the same people that caused the problem in the first place. Not always of course, but too often.

Texas is starting to look like the country map. You have Houston, Dallas and Austin basically wiping out the balance of red counties.
