I have a considerable amount in savings but I don't tell the kids or relatives and I hope the government doesn't know... All I want is for the wife to have it easy when I croak. Some of you talk donating $$$$ to charities if you come into the lottery. I don't want to donate to a charity because the cream of the donations is skimmed off by administration (the guy behind the mahogany desk) and very little goes to those in need. I'd rather give some money to the little old lady on a fixed income who wistfully looks at something in the store and then the price and puts the item back on the shelf knowing she can't afford the item. Or maybe to a single mother with kids in tow.
Yep, my tax guy told me years ago, ‘you’ll never go broke paying taxes’Jason said it best several pages back. I complained about my taxes to my accountant once and he sat me down and said I want you to pay as much taxes as you can. He further explained the more taxes you pay the more money you make. I now only complain about taxes to my wife.
...”The borrower is servant to the lender." = Not necessarily, the uneducated borrower, yes, not all borrowing is bad, you just have to be smart about it, which an inordinate number of people are not...
I have no issue with 0% or low interest debt when I can leave my funds invested.
Its stated in the bible, "The borrower is slave to the lender" as well as several other mentions of proper management of "Gods money"."The borrower is servant to the lender."

If you are not Christian, then borrow all you want.
