I knew that there are adjustable gas blocks to help with overgassed/undergassed issues, and I remember hearing about gas tubes with different gas port sizes like these...

...but I never knew there was an adjustable BCG.

That is different. I wonder where exactly the gases are getting redirected, I see the screw there on the side of the carrier. It almost looks like the gases are getting directed into the firing pin channel. It is an interesting concept, I wonder if any of the extra carbon is going to cause issues with it.

So do some research on these things....

My understanding from the "pros" seems to be that an adjustable BCG is like a last ditch effort...
A well tuned AR would be tuned going top to bottom. Even the adjustable gas blocks are in reality a band aid for those unable to properly tune via port size and/or buffer spring/weight.

1) Ideal port size
2) Ideal buffer spring/weight
3) Adjustable gas block
4) Adjustable BCG

But...

These are designed mainly for those that wish to run the same gun reliably with or without a suppressor.

I can see where that would be a good use for one.

Also the poors, like me, can't always afford the better quality guns (I'm thinking PSA here) so maybe it would be an alternative to other "fixes" to help get your AR tuned up. ???

Strike industries collar adjustable gas block. I think this would probably be a better route. I plan on getting one but haven’t yet. I like how it has positive clicks and isn’t just adjustable with an Allen wrench or flat head screwdriver. This runs less than $100 and would be fine for when you want to run with or without a suppressor.

I would have posted a picture but for some reason it’s not Letting me link to the pictures on my phone otherwise there would be one.
