Mine isn't a heartbeat rhythm or high/low either, it's a steady cicada sound.
But I only hear 'em when my BP is pretty high.
My tinnitus is constant at a high frequency, but it's mitigated by the hearing aids when wearing them. At night it's a crap shoot if it keeps me up or not. Pretty much used to it now.
mine reminds me of a tuning fork but high pitch like you say. kinda bounces back and forth between both ears.
I know some say that they enjoy the sound of them here on the boards but I personally hate the little noisy bastiges. I remember a really bumper crop of these little monsters when I was back on FT Sill. I can’t pin down the year but I’d say probably somewhere around 2003 to 2006. There seemed to be millions of them dead out in the road. And that’s not an exaggeration
It has begun! My mom sent this pic from their yard...they're just a bit south of Dayton, OH
I was there this past Sunday and there was no signs of them. I guess that few days of warmth woke 'em up and it is now go time.
