Have had a million dollar idea before.

My roommate and I designed a "thing" way back in '76.
I was in the "big city" for a weekend and stopped into an electronics store to get parts for it.

Guy behind the counter was asking me what I wanted the stuff for and I went over the schematic we drew up.
Stupid kid.

Bout a month later, the "thing" was all over the magazines for order and the address was that electronics store!!!

Stupid Kid.

I have a million dollar idea.
I am going to run for office as an anti-America, anti-LEO, anti-freedom, anti-Bill of Rights democrat. "That will get me the democrat votes for sure." Then I will pay my wife $2.5 million to be my campaign manager. It will work and democrats will never say a word.
Just like that. I am a millionaire.
Then send your kids to the Ukraine and China to bring home more campaign contributions.

My dad used to tell this story about how he was showing his dad a drawing he did of a trailer that had a "thing" on the front. His dad said ”Ehh that will never catch on." So Daddy just dropped it. Within a few years gooseneck trailers were showing up all over the place.

I wrote a letter to the technical editor of a gun magazine some 35-40 years ago. I asked him to suggest a reduced power double-ought buckshot load for a 12 gauge home defense shotgun. I explained my idea--I did not need a load that would pack a punch at 50 to 75 yards, as OO loads of the time tended to do; but rather a reduced recoil load that would be effective at 5-7 yards (inside the house distances, in other words, instead of out in the deer blind distances). He replied with something along the lines of how reduced loads could lead to excessive pressure, and that was the last I heard of that. Until, that is, a few years later, when reduced power double-ought buck loads became available for law enforcement

And to sell it to the "ain't no load ever hot enough" crowd the marketing experts named it Tactical buckshot.

I had a dream...several years ago and something vastly important to the consumer was in the dream and I've never seen one
yet. The problem is, I cannot for the life of me remember what the item was, when I woke up I didn't write it down and later in the day couldn't remember. Such is life when you're retired, I guess there are many even on OSA who have done the same thing... Now that I've posted this, I'll never post it again...silly White boy.

My bestie said for years "Why don't they just put sour cream in a squirt tube like toothpaste?"... He said that for years before Daisy introduced the squirty package. I still prefer the spoon cup, but to each their own.
