Looking for a used car. Wanting to pay cash. Didn’t know if anyone had any recommendations on a dealership in OKC area.

Maximum price we would spend is probably $10,000 but it would have to be a dang nice car.

Same as my post in the “want to buy” section, I’m open to offers if any OSA members have any vehicles they want to sell. Originally didn’t have the price set so high but the ol lady is kinda changing her mind.

There is a video on youtube that says do not tell the dealer that you are going to pay cash. Rationale is that you make your best deal and the dealer agrees thinking he'll make up the difference when you go for a loan. Then when they present the agreed upon price at the finance desk you decide to pay cash and if they argue, you cna tell them that that is the agreed upon price signed by the sales manager and the deal is legal and binding.

You'll be lucky to find anything under $10k right now. Just like guns, right now is the worst time to buy cars.
No kidding. I was looking for a cheap vehicle the other night, and about the only stuff I could find under $10K was super high mileage, old (but not "classic" old), beat to hell, or a basket case.

I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra LE 4 door with all the bells and whistles that I'm getting ready to sell.
I bought it to drive back and forth to work before retiring. 18 mile commute to work with one stoplight in between. All highway miles
35 mpg highway mileage. 32 mpg city/highway Tailpipe is white which indicates the engine is solid. 120,863 miles.
5 CD Rockford Fosgate changer premium stereo, almost new tires.
1K miles ago had all new front disc and pads replaced, rear drums and pads replaced. Bucket seats with center console. Center console shift.
Electric windows, mirrors.
Garage kept. Paint shiny.
Asking $3000.00
Photo's available via pm.

If the stories on the Web are any indication, just taking that car to town with a sign on it in the WalMart parking lot could probably bring you nearly double that. Or, if a couple of hours there doesn't get a bite, a drive down to a local car lot might prove interesting. Of course, the way to really make bank is to have a newer pickup you want to sell. Dealers are desperate for those and will open the checkbook.

I gave thought to selling our 2 Hondas and getting into something better but I saw the market change and heard it being broadcasted on the radio.. We decided to keep our 2 Hondas and put the $ in them.. If it were me and I needed I'd keep an eye on CL autos posted today by owner.. The other day a 89 chevy 3500 with 454 and 126 k came up for $3800 I said to the wife lets go grab it and flip it or maybe keep and part with the 2500 w 317k.. Again CL, by owner, posted today, and check couple times a day.. That chevy lasted a few hours as I told the wife and was deleted..
