Where they bust the sod in South Tulsa County.
I have had really bad floaters for decades. Eye doctor said nothing could be done about them I just had to live with them.
Your eye doctor is lying to you. Find a skilled ophthalmologist to perform a vitrectomy and they'll be gone. I'm living proof.
I highly recommend Thomas Finley at Tulsa Retina Consultants; https://retinatulsa.com/

And today, I was as Triad Eye center. The outcome? I have cataracts in both eyes. I'll be having the lens on the left eye replaced on Friday, June 4th, with the right eye to be done probably two weeks after that. When I'm done, I'll only need glasses for close up work. I would have been able to get my astigmatism corrected at the same time but that option added $1,000 to my copay of $275 per eye. That's $1,000 for each eye!

The only problem is, I'm going to have to conserve my funds to be able to afford the copays, so I'll have to wait a little longer to finish my 17 Design AR build. That is, unless I finally get the extra income tax refund from my unemployment insurance for last year--then I'll be go to go.
I had my boh my eyes done in 2014. I have a pretty nasty astigmatism and the doctor discovered on the second eye if he rotated the lense when putting in place it solved most of the astig in that eye. Now the difference for me is I have a connective tissue disorder, so they had to suture the new lenses in place.
(This surgery was done in Portland Oregon)

Cataracts in both eyes removed in 2018. Wore glasses all my life, and still have to wear reading glasses. Night vision is still a problem, seeing rings around lights, headlights, streetlights, etc. Had very bad experience with BVA, in Edmond. Wound up going to Dr. Pickford at Precision Vision in Midwest City. Long distance vision now is excellent. Intermediate to short distance not so much. Still like not having to constantly wear glasses though.

Here, but occasionally There.
My cataract surgery was done in 2013 by Dr. David Mallory at Southwest Eye Clinic. After wearing glasses ever since my age was in single digits, it was amazing to have clear vision and no glasses. Yearly eye exams always seem to come out as good vision even though I occasionally wonder if something is off. Last two years of exams, I was able to read the very bottom, smallest print on the reading chart.

That said, I do still need readers every now and then, especially so when trying to read something on my phone.

I had good results with BVA. I was referred there by my regular eye Doctor. I asked him where he was going for his cataracts?

Before going to BVA, my eye Doctor and I discussed my eyes and what I wanted from my eyes, and shooting irons sights was one of my goals. It was having difficulty shooting iron sights and that made me get the exam to start with. He said the double vison I was having was not correctable with glasses only with cataract surgery. He said my eyes already were functioning one eye for short vision, one for long, so he wrote me a script to take with me. The script wrote what correction each eye need and I was not charged the extra fee-Medicare and GEHA paid everything.

I had been wearing glasses for 30 years. After the cataract surgery, I no longer need glasses. I can see things clearly close and see the front sight on my rifle. I can read road signs far off again. I do not need cheaters to see close. Once in a while things will get a bit blurry, but that goes away when I turn my head a bit. I did find that I had problem after surgery with depth of field- trying to thread 6 pound mono through the eye of a crappie jig was challenging. Last visit to my eye Doctor he said it takes two eyes focused at the same distance for depth of field. He said bring in a set of old glasses and he would regrind the lens to fix that for close up.

Get the surgery, it is quick and easy, and does wonders for your eyes. I had some floaters for a while after and they went away. But the Surgeon said I probably would for while, and if they didn't go away , they can remove them.
