I’m just messing with you anyway. It’s a Ford thing for me since I’m a old chevy guy. The bronco 2 is equivalent to the S10 Blazer.

I would try to find a bronco 2 forum. There’s probably a group of people that would crave an unmolested rig.

I would slap a battery in it and see if it will turn over . Then check for water leaks to be sure the block didn't freeze up and crack. It would give you and possible buyers an idea on want its worth.
Not an option. I'm not physically able. She's 77, widowed, and lives in North Texas.

They always maintained their vehicles, so I'm sure it had anti-freeze when it was parked.

I get the "not an option" thing (it sucks getting old, although it beats the alternative), but sitting is really hard on machines, and ten years is a bunch of freeze/thaw cycles, even in north Texas. Sitting through this last epic freeze on potentially compromised antifreeze that's at least ten years old could've been enough to do it in.

If she could find someone local to take a look at it (maybe someone at church), that would be helpful in figuring out a realistic price.

Beats the alternative? Depends on where you will spend the alternative. :)

Ok, now to un-hi-jack. I wish is was 4x4 because then I'd be interested. Since it has been pointed out only being 2 wheel drive hurts the value.

My sister has a 1990 Bronco II 2-wheel drive (maroon color, V8, standard, clear title) that has been sitting for several (10?) years. She's thinking about selling it, and I told her I'd try to get an idea of what it's worth.

I know they're not cheap anymore. Anyone have a ballpark idea on what she should ask?

Thanks. :drunk2:

The Bronco II are not sought after like the Early Broncos. If it hasn't run in 10 years it might be worth minimal $$$.

No idea if motor good, will be worth scrap price. If motor good, it will be worth a little more.

Motor, transmission, differential and coolant system will need gone through at minimum. Hopefully no corrosion. Fuel tank is likely full of corrosion. Hopefully wiring isn't chewed up by rodents.

Just a couple thoughts.

2wd that's sit for years with original drive train won't be worth much. If the interior is good, part it out....have the buyers remove parts themself if needed. If nothing else donate it to charity, they'll pick it up and she can take it off her taxes.

Ok, thanks guys. I'll just tell her she should probably take whatever she can get out of it.

It was her own vehicle. After her husband retired, they did pretty much everything together, and used his new pickup.

She loaned it to my oldest brother, the brakes went out, and he wanted to fix it before bringing it back. He died not long after (2012), so they had it hauled home on a trailer. They kept it sitting in the driveway so it would look like someone was home while they were away. Then her husband passed in 2014.

Anywho...

Thanks again for everyone's input.

Where they bust the sod in South Tulsa County.
That will probably get her the best "price" with the least hassle, although it won't directly put money in her pocket.

This will only work to her advantage if she has a large tax liability and being retired maybe does not.
