Everyone has one. A gun or a girl or just something you let go of that you kick yourself everyday for. Lets hear them. Ill start.

My dad bought me a circa 1991 remington 700 woodgrain adl in .308 when I turned 16 (2006). Had it outfitted with a decent bushnell scope. I could split an atom with it. I got to dating this girl in high school who was high maintenance and always wanted things bought for her. I sold my rifle for $400 to take her on a weekend trip to Dallas. We broke up 2 months later. I regret selling it and especially here lately have been thinking alot about it and hoping it went to someone who valued it obviously more than i did.

About 7 years ago I bought a cherry H&K P7 with the box, papers, etc. for a stupid low price. This thing was in phenomenal shape. Well life happens, and I needed to come up with some money quick so I ended up selling it WAY too cheap. I still remember meeting the guy at a gas station off of 104th street in south OKC. Every time I drive by that gas station I remember being stupid and selling that gun. I could've sold others rather than that P7. It is easily worth triple today what I paid for it back then. I doubt I'll ever find one again in that good of condition, and definitely not at that price.

Mine was simple. Over a decade ago my home was broken into while my wife and I were on a weekend trip to eureka springs. Cleaned me out 100%. I was on a waiting list for months at H&H for a Springfield Armory (mil spec or GI?) In OD green. I had been wanting one for a few years so I got a call from H&H about a week after my break in that they had got one in stock. My wife told me to buy it because she knew how violated and deflated I was feeling. Being in our earlyish 20s 600$ was not a small amount of money. It meant the world to me that she green lighted me to get it. Fast forward a year or so and I traded it for a cerakoted Glock 22. I Instantly regreted it, and have been on the hunt for another ever since.

EDIT: anyone know where one is I would appreciate a heads up!

- Bought a Remington 700 BDL bolt-action .30-06 when I was 16 ('73) with a beautiful walnut Monte Carlo stock, and mounted a 4x Weaver on it. Traded it to one of my brothers for a transmission jack when I built my shop in '82. He passed in '87, one his sons got it, and later sold it (despite my offer to buy it if he ever wanted to get rid of it). I would have paid a premium to have it back again, especially since it also belonged to my brother.

- Sold the first two handguns I ever owned - A cheap ($40 new) Kimel western six chrome .22LR/.22mag revolver (also bought when I was 16), and a Llama .380 semi-auto. Have often regretted both.

Any other firearms are pretty much lifetime members of the family now. Well, for my lifetime anyway... :D

Can’t think of any, really. I thought I regretted selling a 325 Night Guard, but I bought a second one. After I bought a 327 NG, I realized I liked the latter better, so I sold the 325. Haven’t missed it.

The rest, well, I do regret what happened:

Long legs, long black hair and green eyes that would hypnotize you. Kim was her name. I was 21 and she was looking to start a family. I was wanting to hit the road. I think about her almost everyday. Especially when I watch News 9's morning show. One of the news ladies is the spitting image lol

Kimber Pro CDP in 45. Worked over by Teddy Jacobsen. Sweetest shooting 45 I've ever owned. Middle of the Klinton AWB and someone offered me a Para P14 with 20 15 round mags and I traded it. Regretted it ever since.

1999 Ford Ranger Single Cab 4x4. Black on black on black. 4.0 V6. Bought her new off special order and drove her till 2005. Wife (now ex) wanted something with more room and I sold it. Should have kicked her ass to the curb instead.
