1987 was a year of missed opportunities for me........

1) Could've bought a house in Telluride, CO for $75,000. The same house sold again 10 years later for $895,000 and basically looked the same.

2) Was offered a '69 Plymouth Superbird with the 440 and a 4 speed for $16,000. It wasn't show quality, but looked very good from 20 feet.

Here’s a trick… just keep telling yourself that the $75,000 turned into $895,000 because of inflation. :drunk2:

I had a chance to buy a 1969 Road Runner 440 6pack clone back in 1979 for $12,000 and should have. I let a Beretta Model 89 Gold Std. , a Beretta 9mm Elite, a 4" blue Python, a 6" SS Python, and a Savage 16 ga. single shot ( my first gun) all get away. My first wife, I wish she had got away sooner.

Of all the posts on the "one that got away" I think yours is the saddest.....you could have retired a rich man off those two missed opportunities.............
