Okmulgee is hands down the nicest I have found, it is well maintained, has the same shooting benches as lexington, the area is sodded and mowed, and for the most part the trash gets put in its place. it also goes out to 200 yards.
Glad to hear this. The company I retired from did the engineering and construction oversight for the range remodels and new range construction projects around the state. We had just started the Okmulgee range engineering when I retired. I know there was a construction delay because of wet weather but had heard it was now finished. I think the ODWC might be planning to remodel / build additional ranges in the future. They just need to come-up with some money to match the federal grant money from the USFWS. The coffers at USFWS must be overflowing again (more than the Obama years) from the manufacture’s tax on gun and ammunition sales.
If and when 6.5 Creedmoor ammo comes back down to a reasonable price I'll have to go try it out.
