Last year when my wife was shopping for one $180-200 was the normal price. She just missed a couple of bargains on FB Marketplace. Ran onto a bargain at Teners in Shawnee. I think we paid around $125. There's an online cowhide store with hides from Brazil, but I don't recall them being that much less expensive.

I was in Tandy’s about 5 months ago, they did have lots of cow skin rugs. I did not notice a price, but you could look on their website.
Atwoods has/had them. Not sure if they got axed in the store overhauls last year.
