Big difference between meth and pot, not even in the same ball park. Pot should have never been illegal in the first place. Only reason it is illegal is because Dow Chemical didn't want hemp competing with nylon.

I basically agree there is no logical reason pot is illegal and alcohol is. All this medical crap seems silly. Has there ever been anyone turned down for a license? It's about all the different groups getting their piece of the pie.

And yes I understand that pot is different from meth, cocaine and so on. But, if we're going to save the enforcement money and spend it on rehab etc, I think it's going to have to all be legal. I mean, we wouldn't save that much money on enforcement by just legalizing pot would we?

I haven't read every single thread but did the article actually say he was selling? Lots of growers have stock from last year that is just harvested and stored. I think there has been a lot of conclusions that have been jumped to without any actual evidence.

Possibly ... the two years since his last license and the quantity of plants leads me to assume that he was not just growing weed.

That said, it was still an illegal grow operation.
