S&W 340 appendix or front pocket, coat pocket in the cooler weather...like I've said many times. I'm taking it and traveler's checks with me when I go just in case I take a wrong turn on my way to the Pearly Gates. I'll turn it in when I finally get there.

If I could afford one (plus the others that are in line ahead of one), I’d sure carry one. I love the J frames, make you feel like Kojak, or Starsky & Hutch…Old school wheel guns.

I know they are up close and personal but I don't shoot one well, so I went with the 43.

The idea that j-frames and similar guns are only for close up and personal is a myth that should go away. They do take practice to shoot well, but they are not limited to bad breath distance.

Was just having this conversation with @okierider via pm. I think the 638-2 is perfect. +p rated with no Hillary hole. Put some CT grips on it and I think it’s the best all around j frame IMO.

I practice with my Taurus 605 snub at the same distance as my pistols and 4 inch Taurus 66. 66 has a butter DA trigger and being bigger it is more accurate because of the shooter . 605 is just as accurate at 21 ft off a bag as the rest of my guns . Practicing with the 605 in DA I get softball size patterns with +p 38 ammo FBI loads while shooting as fast as I can accurately shoot the pistol which is getting it done . 357 rounds I load for the 4 inch are not really fun to shoot out of my snubbie so I don't very often lol.
