Well, I'm not in the same league with you grill masters... but methinks I just made the best bean dip I've ever eaten in my life. And it's stupid simple.

1 can of refried beans. These were Rosarita's, but most any brand should work (FWIW, Walmart's "Great Value" are the worst refried beans I've ever eaten - and I usually like their products).

I spread the beans out on a plate, shook on a fair amount of Tabasco, poured on some Zesty Italian dressing, then added a spiral of Ranch dressing over everything.

I zapped it in the microwave on high for 1 minute, then mixed everything together with a fork. Had it with bite-sized tortilla chips (Walmart's brand - they're considerably less salty that Tostitos). I also used "Great Value" dressings, but I'm sure the expensive stuff would work just as well. :D

I highly recommend sharing this with someone to prevent eating the whole thing by yourself. Not that I'd know anything about that...

But man, it was good.

Sounds delish but does it come with a side of angioplasty or rib spreaders? lol
Refried beans are full or lard if they are any good.

Beans, italian dressing, and ranch dressing all nuked together. I'm sure glad you didn't post a picture. [emoji51]

Lol, it actually didn't look that bad, and when mixed, it just looked like a slighly paler version of regular bean dip. :D

I know this wasn't necessarily a health food, but beans are really good for lowering blood pressure. And some brands (Taco Bell) are available in low-fat and/or fat-free versions, which are a thicker consistency, but have the best bean flavor IMO.

The local Walmart has been out of the low/fat-free versions lately, or I'd still be stocked up on 'em.

Summer casserole tonight. Also could be called SHTF casserole for you preppers. This one was an experiment using cheap Spam knockoff from Aldi. Not to bad. Kind of bland. I have made it with smoked sausage and diced ham with great results. I think you good use other types of canned meat if you had to. Maybe even chicken.

Includes a sweet potato, 2 yellow squash, 2 zucchini, 2 Roma tomatoes, onion, Italian cheese and season to taste.
