I have a ProTech Godson that I bought about ten years ago, and it is a very high quality knife. It came with the G10 grips, but I called ProTech and ordered a set of burlwood panels. The guy I talked to walked back to the stock room and described sets to me over the phone until one sounded...
My father and I built this one about 10 years ago, and it was a lot of work. We didn't keep track of the time, but it was close to 500 man-hours. We got plans from RG-G, but heavily modified them and incorporated them into CAD (we're both engineers/machinists). We used a straight stick mag...
the form 4473 the dealer filled out should have it listed as a frame, not a pistol or long gun. But it's really what configurations it's been in that matter more than the 4473, if it has EVER had a butstock, it is forever a long gun, or SBR.
I am an FFL gunsmith in Altus, and would be happy to TIG weld your f/h to your barrel for $35.
Call me if you decide on this route,

Check out http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=10 , there's tons of cool and easy builds posted. I'm currently waiting on my form 1 to come back for a 22lr supressor (sent 1/27).
Have fun!
Sent 2 form 4's for a MAX-11 :gun2: and a Bowers CAC9 on 2-18, still no word on my form 1's from 1-27...
Here's hoping for a bunch of the 60 day turn-arounds for us all!!!!!!!!
The last ones I saw were injection molded, which would do away with any concerns of separation between the layers, as it is effectively all one layer. An epoxy is mixed with carbon fiber strands (often cut to .25" or so) and forced into a heated mold where it sets up. Being that most carbon...
Glock 19
If I could choose only one, and use it for all purposes it would have to the the 19. Utterly reliable, easy to obtain ammo, accurate, and easy to carry.
If I had to give up all my other guns I wouldn't settle for anything less than a folding stock pump 12 Gauge!! It's the ultimate...
I'd be concerned with possible misfires or feed/eject problems of the rimfire ammo. It's just not as good as centerfire, unrimmed cartridges. Would be devastating when it works!
Even if its not that nice any respectable smith will install screw in chokes, and probably true up the end too. Saw a guy in SGN offering installation with three chokes for $95. When you cut the rib, shorten it flush to one of the pillars, but leave 1/4 to 1/2 inch of barrel beyond that. It...
+1 on the CZ-82. Got one when they were still cheap and also a brick of ammo. Love it but am getting low and need a new source. Hope they come through and its affordable
Hi all! I've shot and fixed guns for the past 25 years, in addition to a 'real' job of aircraft engineering. Since that fell trough I'm starting a Gunsmith business in Altus and figured I should join! Great place!
He has a AutoMag VI, and I haven't seen magazines for a long time, but Gun parts corp has mag bodies with bases for $26. Might be worth finding a spring and follower that can be modified and used.
