HR 45 Do you want to register all your guns with the Fed?

Employers can forbid guns, a judge rules, issues an injunction against OK law.

BTW, Mr. Shooter, I'd say the same for ORA on a state basis, even though I seem to be a frequent critic.:)

I haven't seen mention on this board but NRA just successfully sued San Francisco for banning legal guns from public housing. I think LA is next on their agenda. NRA and California Rifle Assoc have an agenda to take back California's 2A rights. You've seen my pat answer here for NRA critics...

HR 45 Do you want to register all your guns with the Fed?

I don't know how Bobby Rush holds a public office. He is a former Black Panther and did time for weapons violations. He must have gotten a pardon or something. He will be difficult to beat in his district. He's popular in the 'hood. He once beat Obama for a state rep's office. But, this bill...

It's a major defeat to the Chamber of Commerce and those companies who participated in the lawsuit. I sold my Conoco stock and haven't bought a drop of gas from them since this started. I won't buy a Whirlpool appliance, either. I wonder if the statute of limitations has passed for the fired...

2A Political Activism, the ORA and You/Us

Then get crackin', Lar. :) I've never believed that patience is a virtue. It's not necessary to reinvent the wheel to turn ORA into a first-rate lobby. They already have the clout of NRA behind them. All that is necessary is to look at how NRA works it's legislative alerts and do the same on a...

2A Political Activism, the ORA and You/Us

I disagree about OSA getting the word out better. Only a very few of the pro-gun people in OK frequent this site. ORA is the official NRA-endorsed organization for OK and they need to stand on their own two feet. They should keep their website up-to-date with legislative alerts and calls to...

2A Political Activism, the ORA and You/Us

Glad you got together with ORA. Lord knows they need help, even if they don't. I tried to log on to their message board today and I've been banned because I'm a spammer. Think I have posted one or two times. These folks are severely technologically challenged.

Reciprocity is Currently Banned Under Federal Law (Very Important Please Read)

I doubt next year's Congress will amend this law. I think a better tact is for someone like NRA to challenge it's constitutionality post-Heller or the conflict between this law and states like TX which allow carry on school grounds. Those who tip-toe around OK's Self-Defense Act with tricks...

Is Your Gun a Weapon or a Talisman?

Why do LE officers almost always win gunfights with criminals? Why is our kill ratio in Iraq 10:1? We must have some lucky bastards in uniform.:)

Is Your Gun a Weapon or a Talisman?

Years of experience by LE agencies and the military show that when people encounter stressful situations, they tend to revert to training rather than a decision-making process. It's not opinion, it's real world experience.

    Cng

I have trouble seeing why it would cost $12-$15 to convert to CNG. Folks used to do a similar conversion to propane for much less. Anyone know any OK companies that do conversions? This has peeked my interest.

    Cng

CNG vehicles aren't anything new. Argentina has almost a third of their vehicles running on it. I'm surprised that Devon and Chesapeake aren't pushing more CNG fueling stations for municipalities and fleets in OK. It's our most abundant energy resource and we have a surplus in OK. Boone Pickens...

    Pepper spray?

I tell folks I am too old to fight and too proud to run, so they'd best leave me and my limited options alone.:) I keep some pepper spray around, although I'm not a big fan of it in civilian self-defense situations. I usually carry it when walking with my wife and JRT. I'm not going to shoot a...
