I used a #1 for several years- I was disappointed in the accuracy until I went to 50 grain bullets. It would keep three shots around 1/2”or less with W748 powder. I got a 1969 Remington 700 .22-250 because I needed a repeater for coyote calling and passed the #1 down to my hunting partner.
We’ve had a smaller eight point or so with both sides still in place showing up within the past week. I’ve heard from others in SE Oklahoma seeing the same thing.
I have a Ruger 10 rounder I use in my Mini 14. It is actually easier to load into the rifle than the five rounders. I bought a Ruger 20 rounder about six months ago, but I haven’t gotten around to trying it out yet.

Haven’t checked velocity- I don’t have a chronograph. That would be a good thing to check- I’m sure posted velocity is from a 24” barrel vs 18” on the mini. I’m shooting 24.8 grains of IMR 4895 under the Sierra 63 grain with a CCI primer.

I have a Mini-14 Ranch Rifle- i’ve been messing around with it for about eight years- functions great, but I haven’t been confident enough in it’s accuracy to use it for coyote calling until recently. It shoots about a 1” group or less with IMR 4895 powder and heavier bullets- 63 grain and up...
I’ve used a Ruger 77 in 6.5 Rem Mag for 20+ years. Works great, but I’ve never been able to use the heavier bullets because of the short magazine. Light bullets are accurate enough, but the light jackets don’t hold together on larger deer. Heck of a good coyote rifle though!

I’ve got a good supply of .223 & components to feed 4 bolt rifles and a Mini 14, plus a good supply of stuff for .22-250 and an assortment of deer rifles. I could use some more Starline .32-20 brass; got a good supply of cast bullets for it. I need a couple boxes of .45 ACP some more .38 Super...
I have a small Leupold scope on a Ruger 77/44- I think it’s a 1.5-5 with a 20 mm objective. It has a Pig-Plex reticle and it’s called a V-Hawg or something close. I like the small scope on a lever gun- had one similar set up on a Marlin 336 years ago.

I don't have a .357 carbine, but I load for .44 Mag carbine; I go with H110 and get great results. I've also used H110 with hot .32-20 rifle loads in a modern Marlin 1894CL and it shot really well.

Retired federal employee - I had to take the test about 10 years ago along with other CDL holders. We were all clean, but I knew of some employees who left work and didn't return when they were tapped out to pee in the cup.

I noticed that the AE shells from TG&Y contain 20 rounds instead of the normal 25; I wonder if the chain ordered them that way to allow them to sell a box of heavy loads at a more competitive price?
