That part of the world isn’t seeing 10 an acre just yet on the regular but it definitely isn’t unheard of.
Southern Roger Mills isn’t as well known for the larger bucks as the sandy northern part of the county. They still grow in the area, just not near as fast.
In Roger Mills, I think it would depend on the location of the land. Does it border a black kettle unit, is it in shale country or sand country. On the river at all. Things like that. Is this your own property or are you looking to lease?

Good deal. I don’t know why but I am really itching to have an idea of how it’s broken out and how many hunters that out in each area. I’d also just like to talk with the crew up there and hear what they have to say concerning the hunt.
Back on track here children.
Does anybody have an actual map or link to the map of the hunt area and how it’s divided on salt plains for the refuge portion of the hunt?
I’m feeling like this may be the hunt that I might finally kill a nice deer.
Salt plains rifle hunt. Refuge side. I’ve tried finding a map that breaks down the wilderness area from the refuge portion. Anybody have a map or link? I’m struggling. I know(am fairly certain anyhow) the north side of the highway is refuge.

I went to shed hunt a few days back. Walked out the front door to an 8 point that was still being stingy with his sheds. I should had taken that sign. Found one shed from last year. Weather was great though.

They are at least running some water on and off. That will be enough to keep it interesting. Lake was above normal pool late last week. That’s way better than the case 4 or so years back.

Don’t worry I’m completely with you on this. I wasn’t trying to imply that I was against it. Even though it probably read that way. The impression of warfarin is far more negative than it should be.
I’m thinking the bill won’t pass. I’ve seen crazier things though. It didn’t originated from the dept of ag or wildlife dept.
I am all for the complete removal of pigs from the state.
