    Combat Armory pistols $199

I got the pistol back on Thursday so they didn't waist time shipping it back. I ran about 5 mags through it this afternoon. A mix of UMC and Blazer Brass 115gr. I had 3 FTE's per mag. Really no improvement. I'm not too happy with this clone.

    Combat Armory pistols $199

Mike called me personally today. He found a problem with the extractor that was obvious. Says it's been thoroughly tested and he shipped back to me this morning. I'd say that the customer service is very good.

    Anyone remember Mashburn Arms

Years ago I traded for a Mashburn custom German Mauser in 30-06 with a Mannlicher stock. So beautiful. Got it from Neanderthal. It's one of my favorite pieces. I know we all miss Neanderthal.

    Oil change intervals.

I've always been taught that most engine wear happens in the first 10 seconds of startup. I can't stand hearing the tick either.

    Remember the International Scout?

Those 345 V8s were torque monsters. Industrial quality motor. We had several in Ecuador and proved to be very reliable. We lost a clutch in one going up Schofield pass in Colorado years ago. Right at the devils punchbowl. Hard pass on an EV.

    Oil change intervals.

My wife's triple locked 96 Land Cruiser has 300k on the clock. She will not let me sell it. Compression is the same as when I bought it. Uses no oil between changes. Changes at 4k (that's just me - Blackstone says go further). Delvac 15-w40 Dino oil (plenty of zinc, detergents keep everything...

    Oil change intervals.

You might send a sample to Blackstone for analysis. https://www.blackstone-labs.com/tests/standard-analysis/ You'd be surprised what they have to say about your wear metals and oil life. Chances are that you're changing way too early and throwing money away. However I'm guilty of the same...

    B1 Bomber

Back in 1991 I was standing on the wall of Bent's Old Fort outside La Junta Colorado. I was admiring the view of the Fort and it's layout trying to imagine what it was like back in the mid 1800's, kinda lost in a daydream. Suddenly a Bone buzzed the fort at a pretty low level. Flew right over...
