I found this link on another forum site and thought it would be interesting to share. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2011/09/30/media-silence-is-deafening-about-important-gun-news/?intcmp=obinsite
While the recoil is a bit snappy due to the light weight and size of the gun, you should have no trouble adapting to it if you will just firm up your grip a bit. Also the magazine extensions available from Ruger will help. I carry the LCP daily and feel very comfortable now shooting it. I have...
I went a different route and bought a EAA Witness (Tanfoglio) 9mm with a 22LR conversion kit. That way I can shoot the 22 for practice and fun but have the power of the 9mm in the same gun. I also own a Bersa Thunder 380 which is a great gun.
I bought a Thunder Duotone for my wife and it is her favorite gun. After the breakin it has been 100% reliable. The only ammo that caused it any trouble was Armscor Precision FMJ. Everything else has been good. For inexpensive practice ammo we use USA Ammo FMJ. If you oder in bulk to help spread...
Went to Eufaula last weekend and 2 weekends before that. We caught a mess of nice crappie right at the dock where we keep our boat. Several people have sunk trees there and the fishing has been great!
I just purchased an EAA Witness 9mm with a 22LR conversion kit. If anyone has experience with this gun I would like to know which 22LR ammo has worked best for them. I have not fired it yet and would like to purchase some soon.
I would say that is the best interpretation I have heard. It seems that some of the SDA instructors are not quite sure of the intent of the law in this case.
I bought a Beretta 21A for my wife and while it is fun to shoot at the range I would definitely discourage anyone from carrying it for sel-defense. It is not reliable enough to insure safety. If she needs a gun that is 100% reliable get her a small frame revolver in 32 or 38. My wife has no...
I just bought an EAA Witness 9mm with a .22LR conversion kit so I could practice with the weapon I will use for home defense without breaking the bank. That is about 4 cents per shot with the 22 vs about 25 cents for the 9mm. Makes a lot of sense (cents LOL) to me!
We have several national parks: Chickashaw National Recreation Area in Sulphur, Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge in Lawton. Concealed carry is allowed now in national parks but not inside the associated buildings.
I carry a Ruger LCP in a Bulldog Blackberry holster on the belt. Everyone thinks it is a cell phone and pays no attention to it. You absolutely can not tell it is a gun.
I just ordered an EAA Witness 9mm with a 22lr conversion kit. Does anyone have experience with that gun? I am wondering about break-in and ammo, especially for the 22lr.
One thing you might want to have her consider is how she will carry the gun. If it is a purse gun I would seriously consider something like the Ruger LCR. Being a revolver if she ever had to shoot from inside the purse there is no possibility that it would not fire. A semi-automatic might get...
