I'm not saying .270 is the answer, but for a comparison point I would say that my .270 kicked about the same as a Winchester 94 .30-30.
One would expect the .270 to kick quite a bit more, but even a basic Rem 700 ADL with laminated stock weighed quite a bit more than that slender little 94 so...
I picked up a Weatherby Element a few months ago. I have only run a few hundred rounds of light target loads through it, but it’s run like a top so far!
Bummer! Hopefully they can sleeve the line. We've had a couple of these and they were able to sleeve the line both times. Still expensive, but at least no floor demo!
I don't have one of these for every caliber I shoot, just .223 and .308 (because they're pricey). But dang they're fast and work great.

This. That is station number 20, each station marking off 100'. It is 2000' from the beginning of the area surveyed for the project extents (which may not be the same area in which you actually see dirt turned).
