This will be my one and only public reply to this. Based on all of the "positive" comments, I know that 90% of you don't actually care what my side of the story is. I also don't care to tell that 90% anything.
I will; however, make a couple of quick responses, especially to the allegations...
I had an idiot moment yesterday. I was putting together an M4 type upper, and when I got to the FSB, I realized I don't have a jig for drilling the holes in the barrel for the taper pins. Eventually, I'll end up buying one (or building one), but it'll probably be a while before I need one...
The last couple of gun shows I've done, I've noticed a trend. For every gun I sell, I get at least one person that says something along the lines of "Oh! You're a dealer. I don't want to fill out any paperwork."
So now I'm curious how people here rate on the "tin-foil hat scale". Not that I...
(To derail for a second...)
I buy my cigarettes from a Pakistaní. I wonder if the Pakistanis get so mad at the Indians because the Indians don't pay taxes in cigarettes.

It really depends on when you sell it. Months or years later and it shouldn't be an issue. Days or weeks and you're likely to be found guilty of manufacturing without a license.
Unless you switch to a rifle tube (for like a full length rifle stock), the spring is the same. FYI pistol tubes use a carbine spring too. (What you have is a carbine length spring, not a 4 position spring.)
The laws says that if you are not a prohibited person and are building it for your own use, you can do it. The only exception is title II weapons (machine guns, which aren't legal at all, or SBRs which require a Form 1 and a tax stamp)
Serial numbers and markings aren't required if you are...
I've sold guns to liberal states with funky laws before; however, I personally have taken the stance that I won't ship anything to LEOs that regular folks can't have.
I have some grammar nazi tendencies. I often will end up editing a post 3 or 4 times to fix typos, mostly from fat fingering the on screen keyboard from my phone. I think it drives my wife a little crazy.
That being said...
I was driving to work last week when I saw a pan handler and their...
I'm trying to source a couple sizes of boxes for shipping. Uline seems a little high, and Pratt (I think their the people that bought Love Box Company) didn't carry what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any other suggestions in the OKC area?
I'm looking for the flat locking tab type boxes...
I've done about half a dozen sales or trades on AR15.com in the last two weeks. For the first one, I had no feedback and a low post count. My feedback on here actually helped convince him to do business with me.
Since then, I've had nothing but positive feedback there and things go smoothly.
