Seiko Solar Diver/Chronograph (gave up on selling, so I put it on a NATO strap and actually love it now):
More clear shot of the Timex Linear Chrono (now on a Black/PVD Zulu strap):
Typically the more corrosion-resistant a steel is, the less abbrasion-resistant it is, so more rust-proof = less edge-retention (for the most part).
1095 is an old-school recipe high-carbon steel and very much not corrosion-resistant.
S30V, 154CM, CTS-XHP, etc. are semi-stainless tool steels...
Little Joes has plenty of CRK and Microtech knives.
I've owned a Carbon Fiber large and small 21 as well as a small Ti plain 21. I like the small Classic and small 21 better than the large and as pretty as the CF scales are, they're not as smooth as the Ti version.
All of the knives listed in Ankerson's test with a specific RC rating were (I believe) independently Rockwell tested before being used in the cutting test - those with question marks or ranges are going by Manufacturer's specs.
I wasn't debating the other strengths and weaknesses of S30V...
S30V does tend to wear from a razor edge to a "working edge" rather quickly though - the working edge will typically last for quite a long time and you can usually strop it back to razor-sharp with little effort but in all the knives I've owned, I've found that the softer the Rockwell hardness...
That's actually a great knife. They make a lot of knives in the hunt series with some cooler looking fake wood (I can't remember what it's called) or G10 as well as the Orange or Black Santoprene (which isn't bad either).
I don't generally like a gut hook on a fixed blade, but if your dad...
The first one (GAC-100 all-analog), is easy for me since it's just straight analog-time with 12/24 indicator and a Chronograph timer (start/stop/reset/split).
I'll admit that any of the fancier Casio Digital + Analog watches are kind of a lot to remember as far as functions go - I hate...
Man, this was worth it. It's not quite "Dark Earth", it's actually more of a Grey, but it is actually very much what I was looking for. Tan GA100 should be here today and I'm expecting it to be much lighter than the "Tan" I've seen in pics, but I went ahead and picked up some brown and Khaki...
Agree with this 100%
I've got a VTAC on my son's lightweight AR setup, but for everything (including my 18+ Lb Bolt-guns), I've got Blue Force / Vickers.
So for some reason, I can't make myself pull the trigger on that Pulsar, and I'm unwilling to pay the higher price for the Seiko (more than I paid for the Pepsi Blue/Red version of the same watch), but I'm strangely drawn to these two G-Shocks:
The GulfMaster:

I may need to just stay away from eBay for a bit.
Just picked up this guy for even less than the other one (I wasn't sure which I'd like better, so I thought I'd look for deals on both - one will likely be up for sale soon):
I think they do that because they're marketed as "Active" watches by the surfer/skateboard guys/gals (keeps the knobs/crown away from your wrist if you wear a watch on the left-hand). I don't know how I'd like it or not, but to be honest I'm not able to convince myself to spend that much on...
