My Grandfather had the same problem, and I used a set of nippers to cut his off. I wouldn’t want to use a dremel, because it seems like it might be easy to make a slip and cut something you don’t intend to cut.
I had to take mine off several years ago when I broke my hand, and I haven’t worn...
I’ve been to several meetings in Texas on the pig poison deal and listened to the bleeding hearts cry about all the “what ifs”, and I’m of the opinion that unless you’re directly effected by pig damage you need to shut the heck up and stay in your lane. :rolleyes2
You’re a heck of a lot more dedicated than me, because I won’t even sit for 9 hours waiting on a 170 class buck much less a dang turkey. Well, I might sit that long for a 170 but not a 160.
I’ve been inspired by the 410 turkey hunters and have been talking to @hunter966 about possibly/probably buying a 410 pistol barrel for my Encore for next year. I can reload for a 410 now and have a source for cheap(er) tungsten shot, so it seems like a fun project.
I haven’t checked in on this thread in a few days, and from the information posted here, this case definitely isn’t going in the direction I figured it would.
No matter the outcome of the verdict, there ain’t nothing going to bring the victim back, and basically, a temporary and completely...
Uncontrollable barking is the supposed reason I ended up with Easton, but like everything else his previous owner told me, I don’t believe it. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve heard him bark in the almost two years he’s lived with us. :anyone:
It’s bone dry around my place, so it appears this is going to be the third year in a row with no morels. There’s a bumper crop of ticks and nats though. :rolleyes2
I fileted the breast halves and took the hind quarters. I have a proven method for smoking chicken quarters perfectly every time, but the last turkey hind quarters I smoked were tough as boot leather. I intend to give them one more try.
Where the beard came off the body was really full and thick and looked like it was lighter in color on the ends. There were a half dozen strands that were still long. He was a bigger body bird than the one I killed.
Blind hogs do find acorns… :thumb:
I gambled on where to set up this afternoon, and it paid off. I was about 400 yards northwest at the opposite end of a grove of tree along the river from my camera where I’ve been seeing turkeys, because I know they hang out in those tree. The wind was...
I’m leaving at 0 dark thirty in the morning to be able to hunt/scout in the evening.
I “sat it out” for many years while working on habitat, hoping the flocks would grow, and at the same time knowing the neighbors were killing birds every year. Screw that.:rolleyes2
