I had never owned an AR until I recently returned home from Brazil, but I quickly got my feet wet by building two lowers for myself and two more for a friend. The reasons I didn't buy a factory assembled rifle were price and that I couldn't find one with all the goodies in it I wanted.
I ordered a lower parts kit from Palmetto and a Timney match trigger for my first AR build, only to find out that neither one came with trigger and hammer pins to hold the modular trigger in the lower… I called around and some places wanted me to buy an entire LPK again, while others had...
Bought a couple of stripped lowers off of Reddog1 on Thursday, just been too busy to make it back on here. Great guy to deal with, completed the FFL paperwork and call much faster than any other gun shop I've ever been in! Would recommend his business to anybody, thanks again!
I've got a CZ 527 American in .223 that I picked up for around $460 used. I really like it, especially the single set trigger. However, I am in the process of dumping a considerable amount of cash into an AR, and if I like it well enough that it becomes my "go to gun", I might let the CZ...
I've got an LMT monolithic upper that I want to put a long range scope on. Seeing as how I don't need to use a cantilever mount because of the long, one piece rail, what scope mounts/rings would you suggest?
Thanks
this is what I use, tractor wheel with designs cut into the spacer. Bought it from Jerry Green, he makes and sells a lot of stuff like this. He is south of highway 51 on 48.
Ah, thanks for clearing that up! Unfortunately, I can't stream video where I'm at. The barge has crappy satellite internet, something to do with not having a cable long enough to reach land...
I've got a Nikon Archers Choice. I left it in my archery stool in the back of a truck at a tournament in Illinois, and the pouch on the stool filled with water in a big rain storm. I also had a set of Steiner binoculars in there, which were completely ruined, but the range finder was fine.
Well bud, If I ever manage to get back in the northern hemisphere, you know you are more than welcome to come down to the house and shoot. We can shoot in other places besides behind the arena for plenty of distance. Its just that, at this point, I'm starting to think I'll have to wait until...
You might go talk to the guys at Archery Outpost. I don't know that they give formal lessons, but they are great people and I'll bet they will be more than willing to give you a few pointers. They are at 46th (i think) and Mingo, they are in the same building as Line X, next to Robertson Tires.
I'm still very new to ARs, having not even finished my first one yet, but from what I've read so far, changing the head spacing would require enough machine work to almost justify getting a new barrel. That of course depends on the price of the barrel… I'm curious to see what everyone...
I'm stuck on a barge off the coast of Brazil for an indefinite amount of time right now, and I work nights so I just ate lunch. The highlight of the meal was beans and rice (just like it is every day) and the best thing I could get ahold of was an unripened pare… you guys suck, lol
I want to take a much closer look at the March 5-40 with FFP… but who sells them?? or how the heck do you go about getting one? Is Kelby the only dealer in the nation?
What!? I'm sitting on the same barge, in the same room… No mention of goat cheese was made to my knowledge….. I feel cheated as I have been left out of a quest for answers that seem to be more meaningful than the supposed attempted "work" around here…
oh yeah… the...
