I wonder if further investigation will conclude that it was a accidental discharge... I just find it hard to believe that any weapon would go off without someone tinkering with, or touching it. I guess it is possible... Either way, it is a very sad story... :(
Looks like the comments and opinions are 50/50 on this. I think they both are great weapons - the availability of accoutrements for both guns are good, so either way I think you'd be happy. I do tend to lean towards the 870, but there is no logical reason behind it :).
This is an awesome thread! I have a Remington 870 tactical shotty that is currently being creakoted by Harsh Firearms out of Norman, OK. After that is complete, I'll post a pic of it for sure.
