I saw a similar "is the shockwave legal?" thread on AR15com and they are selling Shockwaves in Texas, and have been selling the aftermarket versions before these came out.
Our law sure makes it sound illegal, but it also seems it could apply to Taurus Judges, TC Contenders, and others that...
If they're selling them here in OK I don't see how they can they go after anyone for owning them, I'm expecting there will be a lot of these sold in the state, "the cat will be out of the bag" by then. I know myself and several friends would like one, just for fun. But I don't want to be the guy...
Yeah something like that or the Magpul Forend would let you mount a laser. I've never really used a laser but that "center mass" one they make now would probably be easy to pick up on target.
I've had a 18" PGO shotgun before, but with a traditional vertical style pistol grip. I would never recommend relying on a PGO shotgun for serious defensive use, too hard to aim and shoot well. It's better than nothing, but I'd rather have a pistol or something with a stock for serious use any...
Well I was pretty excited about getting one of these, until I found out about our possible legal issues here!
So we're still not sure if they're legal here or not? I haven't shopped around but are they selling them here in OK?
I go to Emmanuel in Enid, and yes you're right on all that!
Good to know I haven't been breaking the law all this time. I'm sure somebody's seen me carrying, when I go to get the kids in and out of carseats in the parking lot sometimes my shirt comes up over my G43!
I know some of our pastors carry, and a lot of the members do too, I just never knew if it was technically legal or not, since I've been told both ways so many times! I even took my CCW class at our church!
So for a regular church situation, there is no law prohibiting carry there if the Church is fine with it? This is what I always assumed, but like I said I've heard both ways.
I read through these parts of the SDA just before posting here, didn't see anything clearly saying you couldn't, but I'm...
I'm sure this has been beat to death, but I'd like to find out for sure on this. I've heard both yes and no from LE and other permit holders I've talked to! I've been searching for an answer to this without much luck. I didn't see anywhere it was specifically banned in the SDA.
This is assuming...
I've never seen the originals but I was a little disappointed with Fury Road, I enjoyed it but it wasn't near as good as I expected given the hype about it.
Good choice, LOTS of fun, but they do need to be SBR'd and Suppressed for maximum fun. (Suppressor is on my nightstand pistol so just pretend it's there too. Lol)
Anyone who hasn't: buy the HBI spring kit for the trigger, it's like $6 and makes a BIG difference, so much lighter and faster now!
Little update: I received my 6" 3/8" target from "Tactical Scorpion Gear" on Amazon, it seems to be true AR500, 7.62X39 from a 16" barrel at 50yds didn't touch it. 5.56 55gr FMJ (also 16" barrel) left a slight divot at 80 or so yards.
And thanks for the invite Dennis, I'll keep that in mind!
Yes it is! I only shoot at paper for a sight in then it's right back to the steel. I have a target coming from "Tactical Scorpion Gear" on Amazon. They are very cheap, which is great if they are the real deal, but I ordered a 6" for $13ish shipped to test it out before I get Torsos
Only had it happen once, and it didn't take much at all, I could have left it as is but it would wear more to have it dragging too hard on one side. I'd definitely check everything else first, the barrel nut (MI G3 in my avatar) I used didn't have to be timed, the gas tube just went over the top...
