Just a note...fellow named Greg Ellifritz does a class covering a lot of the med stuff, and part of that class is effectiveness of meds long term etc. Where one can procure "Some" things (no schedule 1 stuff). We did that class here last year. He is someone to follow regardless. His blog over at...
Look at the novel One Second After by John Matherson. Well researched and even addresses some of the specific thought processes you are looking at like medications etc.
Not at all. Quite the opposite actually. People go to ranges available to them and they choose what is acceptable, however there ARE a lot of folks that want nice ranges but you aren't always going to get better ranges if you aren't willing to pay for them. There is a lot of expense in creating...
If you want better ranges, be better stewards of the range, have some actual training from reputable sources, and be willing to pay for better. Consumables, repairs, maint, and a ton of other things are NOT cheap and that isn't even counting labor if you can afford that.
Folks something to consider when complaining about "crazy range people" or "safety nazi's" is that it works both ways. Ranges see a LOT of people that "THINK" they know what they are doing and are unsafe as hell and a danger to others. SO yeah....most of the time range rules are there because of...
The shotgun Can be used, loaded, and racked one handed, not easy but certainly possible.
The whole AR/Pistol/Etc has more ammo thing...yeah because you NEED more rounds compared to a shotgun. The only thing an AR or pistol has over a gauge is some distance. Ammo capacity is a red herring when...
I don't believe there is anything open to the public with that distance, however I think OKC Gun club or Tri-City Gun club may both offer ranges above that if you are a member.
I would also caution against any type of hybrid holster as they are often not as robust and can have issues where the "softer" side can malform and potentially catch the trigger on a reholster.
Look into a Keepers Concealment or what might be even better for you due to wanting deeper concealment the Phlster Enigma. The enigma has the advantage of not being tied to your belt and if adjusted properly not only conceals but is extremly comfortable as well as being able to stay in place...
James Herring stays busy so you might have to wait a bit, but there is a reason he stays that busy. Good people, good work. He is who I had do my classroom building
Might check with JM Custom Kydex. They might not have one pre made but they might have one they Can make and anything you get from them will be solid. Any particular reason you are going with a chest mount?
Is the "holster" on that belly band hard shell? Sometimes the belly band stuff can be workable but if you aren't running a hard shell that fits the firearm properly that can be "not good" because it is possible for the trigger to get pulled when you don't intend that.
Couple of points.
A. The Phlster Enigma combined with a proper holster that will fit the gun has a huge amount of benefit for females in particular because they are not required to wear clothing with a belt. If you are concerned about adjustment etc go hit up their website because they have a...
This is a good mindset to have. One of the things people tend to forget is a little thing called Context. Sometimes a revolver Might be your better option, or a shotgun, or a rifle, or any number of other things. That is one of the reasons I try to have a variety of courses out here, although a...
We do actually...I send it out on the 1st of every month. Basic news about the facility and projects as well as the schedule with links to signup. The other benefit of the newsletter is you get the prelim list as well, classes we have agreements on but no signup link yet so they aren't yet on...
So let me ask this...those of you that are selling at the show. Are your prices that you are selling things for the same as they were 2 years ago? 5? 10? 20? If the answer is no because "cost of materials/parts/stock went up", rent on my shop went up, electric went up, insurance went up, etc etc...
