The earth-fill damn, I've heard it said about Tenkiller. Personally I have no clue. Bro in law works for the Corps of Engineers in hydro-power, I can ask him. I do know Tenkiller's is 3000ft long and 197ft above streambed. Prob find the specs to the Foss dam and compare.
How is it a different set of skills when it's pretty much the fundamentals? Most shooters think upgrading glass will fix proficiency, improve group when it does nothing at all.
Make more sense to me to brush up on rifle proficiency and marksmanship, but to each their own. I've never had problem with neck shots, even all the way out to 300. If you can't shoot with iron sights you have no business attempting to shoot with a scoped rifle.
Not to rain on your parade. But higher prices are due to the chumps from Texas willing pay double what most of you native okies are willing to pay for a lease. I'm speaking as a land owner. Why lease it to you for $5/$6 an acre when I have some guy willing to come up from Wichita Falls and...
Meh, M1 Garand, M1A. Somewhat common ammo. .308, 30-06. Even the mom and pop shops in BFE has at least one of the two calibers on the shelf. Internals somewhat same parts. Op Springs from M1 Garand can be modified to fit M1A. Sight parts also.
5th Marines. Means it either came from Guadalcanal, New Britain, Peleliu, maybe Okinawa. But with the intact dust cover doubtful Okinawa, as most by then were without them and the Japanese weren't producing new ones with covers. Interesting find.
Holy crap that brings back memories. I got out in '06. Never shot on Wilcox. Shot on the 53 Area KD Range across from Horno. Only went to 117 once and that was back in Dec of '03.
This has been a loong time coming. Screw the drink or 12. Go buy a case or two.
Some people live life waay too seriously. You're never gonna get out alive anyways.
