Burbank airport to OKC in a little more than two days. I landed in Burbank and drove and stayed in Barstow, CA about midnight to 4:00 AM, then got up and drove to west Amarillo and arrived about 8:30. Only four stops for gas and to eat.
I was alone, otherwise it would have been a week or...
2020 and 2021 were by far my most dove, deer and duck hunting days I have ever done. We had a travel ban at work and I am remote, so I was in the field/stand/blind literally half the season. It was also the two years that I actually limited out on deer which is pretty unbelievable for me...

Glad to see rain today, hopefully we get a bunch.
I disagree that this is in the "Stupid Stuff" forum. This is definitely not that, dogs are family to a lot of us. Sorry about your guy, yet 14 is a good life for a dog.
Sitting for 9 hours straight gets old every day except for today. It is better when you at least something or hear a gobble. This late start is not liked by this dorkus.
PS - Still better than working.
My worst season so far which is odd, considering I have seen more in cameras than in years. The wind has killed me and this morning was freaking cold. Four days in a row and saw on Jake about 150 yards away. Only heard gobbling in the distance on Tuesday, none since. Yet, I will be out again...
One thing no one told me when I started turkey hunting is shoot them in the lips. DO NOT take a body shot, you will likely lose the bird. I lost my first long beard with a body shot and found him dead a week later a few hundred yards away. Good luck.
