Our first scale model 3D print looks pretty good. The next 3D print will have bark geometry. The other attached image shows the color mixture that the production parts will be molded in. What do you guys think?

Initially it was designed with a snap-fit lid, so the lid handle was necessary to overcome the snap-on bulges and pull the lid off of the body. Now that it's a twist-on lid, the handle is not necessary.
The "side handles" are actually the locking tabs that engage the channels on the feeder body to lock the lid on. They can definitely serve a dual purpose though.
I actually considered that in the beginning, but decided to go with a handle to help with installing and removing it. Now that you mention it, I think it's worth a second look. Thanks...

I think I've improved the manufacturing process in such a way to drastically reduce initial tooling costs. Now I only need to sell 352 units to break even.

You can find plenty of ways to cook them. I'm just partial to Steven Rinella's methods. He seems to be very well studied in the culinary arts, for a backwoods Northern Michigan type.
