I run a small shop in OKC called the Gun Guy Inc. and have been Cerakoting for a couple of years. I also work with a shop in Moore that does hydro dipping for those that want something with a little more detail. There is a LOT of work that goes into preping parts for coating (to do it correctly...
Here is my EDC
The first 1911 I ever owned
And this is my little project gun I just finished. Still need a little tweaking to smoothen it up before its range ready
I love mine, its the only gun I've worn the springs out on, lol. I did a trigger job and added a reduction shim to take up some of the pre travel. Scope is a BSA $40 job from Academy
Buddy of mine gave this to me the other day and I'm stumped. It looks to be in the .38/.357 range, what looks like the extractor slot is on the left, and its machined as one part. Figured someone on here would know what it goes to.
I have the Power Custom stoning jig/tool for reworking the factory sear and did the full stone/polish/shim treatment to the factory parts with the wolf spring kit. I was able to get it down safely to a 3 1/4lb trigger pull and greatly improve the factory trigger pull but I wanted to see if I...
I went the KIDD route with the trigger and 16" barrel, Force Productions charging handle, and Tactical Solutions mag release. I'm very impressed with the KIDD trigger, it pulled 1.24lbs straight out of the box with no tweeking
Here's my Rem. 870 super mag. I just finished. 20" barrel, MESA Tactical rail, Blackhawk recoil reducing stock, +3 tube extension, Burris fastfire sight, Cerakote sniper gray & graphite black

Custom action, built by Klaus Horstkamp at State Arms.
Yes, the record was the idea behind it. Klause built 25 rnds. specilaly for this gun and wrote down how much powder to use with them. I'm new to the long range stuff so I'v been learning as I go. Its 17 year old technology so what was...
The stock was cut from A36 steel plate, 1 3/4" thick. I drew up the basic design in Auto CAD and we transfered it to Mike's burn table and let the torch & computer do the work. All the mounting points and such were more of a shoot from the hip, lets see what works approach so I don't have any...
Is there a local place that cryo treats? I'm wanting to get my .50 BMG target gun treated befor I go shooting it and most of the places I'v found are on the east coast. The other issue is that its too long for most treatment tanks that are close-ish and the place in NY can handle it, I just...
I was looking at the ar57 uppers and saw you can get it as a complete 11" SBR, which looks like loads of fun.
Question is do you have to have the paperwork done befor buying the upper or get the upper, send it papers, let upper sit in the safe untill approved?
