Can’t offer much advice, but while going to OSU in ‘79 and ‘80 we hiked into the warm water discharge area at daylight many Saturday mornings and wore out a sackful of white Mepps spinners catching white bass and crappie. Good times!
We will be at 36A, table 4 & 5. Will have some rare and hard to find JM Marlin lever guns as well as several a Ruger Blackhawks and Single Sixes. That is in the SW corner of the show in the Saturday setup section.
Nice looking hound! I have had a few bluetick males in the 75 to 80 lb range. Some have genetics to be big, high level of nutrition can bring the size out in them. I hunted with a butcher in Stillwater in the early 1980's that had a Black & Tan that weighed around 100 lbs because of all the meat...
I have a litter of 8 Mountain Cur/Stephens Cur cross pups. I am keeping a pair and need to find homes for the rest. Born January 20, they been baying and treeing cats since they were 6 weeks old. Should make good varmint dogs. Miami OK area. Parents both registered.
I'm not into AR's, but the 6.8 is a great round for deer and antelope size game. I shoot a 23" Contender Carbine with the old Silver States Armory load with the Barnes Triple X bullet. Nearly a dozen deer and antelope harvested and never recovered a bullet. All one shot, no tracking with the...
Whats up with people selling guns they inherited from Dad or Grandpa? I see it all the time here and other places online. I guess I don't get it unless you're in dire straits.
Thanks for taking a stand! I turned a guy in for poaching about 25 years ago, he lost his license for three years. He found out I turned him in somehow and called me and threatened to kill me, been carrying a 357 ever since!
I guess you could bring it up here and let me break it in for you and I will provide a range report! Seriously that is a handy looking little carbine. You keep shooting and you might get better at it.
I would not be concerned with velocity loss, I am wondering about accuracy when the barrel heats up. How about running 10 quick shots through it and posting a pic of your target?
Dad taught me to fish and bird hunt. He never seemed to care for deer hunting so picked that up on my own with a little help from uncles. We never had many deer to hunt until the early 80's anyway.
Speaking as an old coon hunter, you either love to watch dogs work or you don't! Some guys hear music in the woods others just hear a bunch of dogs barking. I even love to watch my rat terrier pup get after mice in the barn. Hope to start him on squirrels this spring. To boil it down some of us...
After looking in the FAQ's, it appears I was wrong about the hunting license. You have to reside on the property to be exempt.
It appears that landowners children all the way down to grandchildrens spouses are exempt from the fishing license on Dad's or Grandpa's property.
