Just some rough numbers... but say the tornado throws a truck a couple hundred feet in the air like the semi trailers in the video above. Said truck would fall about 4 seconds if it fell straight vertical down and its going to be going pretty close to 80 mph on impact. Consider the tornado...
I got a gamo hunter refurb from Natchez a couple months ago. They are pretty cheap.
It looks like new, has nice fiber optic iron sights and shoots accurately, hard.

They also have a couple scoped...
Just picked up some of the new FTX hornady bullets that are used in the leverevolution ammo. Anyone got a suggestion on a good powder and load data to get anywhere close to the 2400 fps the factory loads claim?
If your not handloading, the ammo selection and prices on the 300winmag are hard to beat, and would be my pick of the 3 for one hunting rifle on a budget. I like the 300wsm, and may eventually add one to my collection, however I really don't think its ballistically very superior to a 300winmag...
Got a question, how does say an average dpms or armalite shoot compared to a good bolt action 308, like a savage/rem 700/win m70? I realize this is way too subjective of a question to get anything empirical, just wondering if there is a prevailing opinion.
All I can say on the subject is a 300 is effective. White tail that I've hit with mine do not run, they drop. I don't yet own a 308 so not sure if they are as devastating/effective, but I personally do not care for following blood trails.
I'm still pulling for the 30-30 vs a 44 mag in a rifle barrel. You can shoot 200 yards with new ammo, recoil is about the same, and you have more muzzle energy and velocity at any distance. Anyway, my 2 cents. I have attached some ballistics from the Hornady web site.

My old KLR650. I've had it about 10 years now, and it was about that old when I got it, still runs like a top. The things are tanks.
