Oof. If I were wealthy enough to make impractical gun purchases I would be on this GP100 like a viper on a mouse.
Heck, I'll extend the fantasy -- I'd order 1000 rounds of this to feed it.
.44 Special is such a pleasure to shoot. Love that cartridge! But as a non-reloader I've always had...
The manual safety on the M&P 22 Compact is a good one: large, well positioned, and positive both going on and off. 1911-like. If you're going to have a manual safety on a handgun this is how it ought to be. I have carried it occasionally in a holster and don't worry about it any more than I...
My M&P 22 Compact has a definite cutoff of ammo energy below which it won't function, but the good news is that threshold is pretty low. You don't have to use high-velocity ammo. For example CCI Standard Velocity runs great; it's actually the pistol's #1 favorite chow. But Federal Champion...
From experience -
LC9S: Nice trigger. Gun is a bit top heavy with bore axis higher than I prefer. Decent pistol.
Kahr: Low bore axis, nice ergos. The trigger is basically a (good) DA revolver trigger. Whether you like that or not depends on you. Re: reliability, my experience is with the...
Aha, so this is why original LCPs have been going for crazy low prices around $220 lately.

Seems like a lot to like here: True last shot hold open, Glockish trigger with a single reset, more grip stippling, bit more grip to hold onto, looks like...
I ended up selling the P32 after about 600 rounds.
What led me to move on was the uncomfortable excess curvature of the trigger face. If you're an average man the tip of that trigger will abrade your finger and interfere a bit with the firing stroke. Once I got over the pleasant surprise of...
This is a good and necessary change. The laborious takedown of the Mk pistols has made them seem dated in today's .22 market.
I think the S&W Victory had a lot to do with pushing Ruger to make this shift.
Will wait for a Mk IV 22/45 version to appear - preferably with a factory-included Pic...
Yes. These are fantastic little generalist .22 pistols. I have 1800 rounds through mine at this point and I will never sell it.
The SAO trigger breaks in to a clean break that feels well under 5 lbs. Trigger is a major advantage of the M&P 22 Compact over the DA/SA Ruger SR22. I think the...
Hope OSU is ok. Sending a prayer.
Mostly mean structurally. the 2011 Prague quake that was similar magnitude did some real damage to nearby St Gregory's U.
The P32's at 500 rounds now. I painted the front sight red; definitely more visible. I think this is worth doing.
Trigger has improved with use. It's fairly smooth now although it's still a long DAO. I prefer the shorter pull on the current gen Ruger LCP.
Ammo: Sellier & Bellot ball...
The Plot Thickens: Testing Different Ammo
Thought I'd post an update, especially given the kind response to the original review.
I recently did a 150 round range session with the P32, which brings total round count to 350. This was a chance to broaden out past the Sellier & Bellot 73 gr FMJ...
Wow, that is a good price on the Fiocchi.
Now I want to pick up a CZ27 (realistically) or Colt 1903 (a stretch) just to have a soft-shooting old school .32 ACP.
One last thought: the P32 would make a fantastic backup. As a private citizen CCW I've always felt it's just not practical for me to have a BUG, but for some reason the tiny, ultralight P32 makes it under a psychological barrier that even the LCP fails to clear.
With all the terrible things...
I recently picked up a Kel-Tec P32 to see if it had something unique to offer compared to other tiny CCWs. I especially wanted to compare it with my beloved Ruger LCP, which I did a thread on earlier.
Easy to forget that today's huge category of "micro .380s" was actually launched back in 1999...
I actually had a YouTube video on disassembly open before me when I tried it. I watched the dude in the video compress the spring up in there without mishap. I just failed when I attempted it myself!
I was eyeing a Marlin 795, the detachable mag version of the 60, because I do like how my 60 shoots.
Now that I've seen what the disassembly/reassembly is like (both Marlins share the same bolt/spring mechanism), I am thinking Ruger 10/22 Takedown.
Just to be contrarian I decided to actually takedown and clean the action on my Marlin 60, since I've been occasionally shooting it lately.
There are a fair number of steps, it's straightforward enough ... until it comes time to replace that darn recoil spring! I put a bad kink in the spring...
Law of .22LR:
CCI > Federal > Win > Rem
Win Super-X falls in the "tolerable" category. I bought some back when the .22 shortage was at its worst. Adequate but not good reliability in semi-autos. Goes bang in my revolver. Groups are okay. A bit dirty. Not much to say beyond that.
