We normally hunt in areas that deer hunters don't hunt so it's all good!
I took Padme' up
from the molt tonight,
she is acting like a
typical wild caught bird.
Amazing that in less than 30 days she will be

than anything else we hunt!
I got my first blast of cool air today, that smell was in the air, the cool, low humidity smell of hunting season, got me excited to be going to Oklahoma this year! I can't wait!

We do different types of hunts, we will be looking for tractor/equipment storage areas to hunt bunnies. There is a lot less walking and more flushing, less catching but more flying, equipment areas are very fun to watch.

This is a female juvenile Redtail hawk, the red tail does not molt in until the second summer.
We can tell it is a female by it's huge feet and size, in raptors the females are 1/3 to 1/2 times bigger than the males.
