I’ve thought about these same scenarios as well. My agent told me that he hasn’t seen “bad” driving cause rates to go up. But, I figure it’s just a matter be a matter of time before rates go up or down based on driving habits. As others have said, I’m leaning towards passing on this option.

I hear you. I typically drive the speed limit, and don’t brake or accelerate hard. But, when driving the surface roads in country areas, with stops signs every mile, I’m sure I would take a hit for not coming to a complete at stop at the signs.
