Like the title states, this Saturday at the Oklahoma City Gun Club we are having our annual Short Course State Match with a Distinguished Relover and a Excellence in Competition match afterwards. Anyone can attend, you do not have to be a member of the club to compete but you must be a NRA...
At last nights board meeting I received approval for starting an IDPA chapter at the gun club with one caveat. The board members wanted to make sure that I was not going to go this road alone. I have decided that before I commit to this task, I will be seeking a volunteer to be a co chair of the...
Hello, my name is Mark Thomas and I am the division chair for the pistol (bullseye) range. While it is true that we only have 25 and 50 yard targets, you should realize what the bullseye range is designed for and that is bullseye or what the NRA calls conventional pistol shooting. It is still...

Hi Mike, I shot IPSC of course and I have only fired a couple of IDPA matches at Hinton when the Firing Pin was in business. I have gotten about 35 or 40 stage scenarios from Jack in Tulsa and he is going to be a tremendous help in putting on these matches for at least 2 or 3 iterations. I was...
Once we get up and running (might take a month or two to get SO's trained and such) the match will be on the 3rd Sunday of the month sign up will be at 9:00 to 9:30, walk thru at 9:30 to 10:00. With the match starting at 10:00. We should be done by 1:00 so you people that like to go to church on...
Looks like the IDPA at OKC gun club will be a go. Anyone that would like to be a SO (which we need at least 8) can go to the SO training class at Oil Capital in Tulsa. I am going and can take 3 more. The class is 7:45 till about 6:00 pm. I know its a long day but it is a day and not two like the...
Did a preliminary q and a with Suzie Rouse at the last board meeting, looks very favorable for this to come to fruition. I will formally address the board at Februarys board meeting. It looks very positive. Anyone willing to be SO's or willing to take the SO class please email me at...
Between the cowboy division and USPSA bays, there is enough for us to shoot a match I think. The third Sunday of the month is open always with the exception of two month when the Cowboy division has some activities.
Except for two months, the third Sunday is available. Plus if we shoot two stages per bay we won't have any problems. I have contacted the cowboy chair and he is on board. Waiting to hear from one of the action pistol chairs before I take it to the board in February.
Welcome to the club and come see us at the Pistol range. We shoot precision pistol shooting and bullseye pistol is the oldest pistol shooting sport. It is very competetive and I love it. IDPA has just always interested me. Hope it comes through.
We are not getting very many responses. I hope that there will be more responses. It will talke a bunch of people to help keep this match running RO's SO's match directors etc. I hope that it will tae off.
I am contemplating going to the board and asking permission to start an IDPA chapter at the Oklahoma City Gun Club. I am currently the pistol division chair and I plan on brining this matter up at the next board meeting in January. I have already contacted one of the IPSC division chairs but...
You need to use the large powder bar I believe for 223 and the small powder bar for the pistol ammo. That could be part of your problem. Call Dillon, they know exactly what to do. Just make sure when you call that you can tell them exactly what is happening and beat around the bush. They are...
